The "Oops Ring" for Recessed Fire Sprinkler Escutcheons

We continue to listen to our customers and innovate with new products to make their job easier. One issue we heard over and over again is that sometimes the hole that is cut for a fire sprinkler penetration is cut too big. When this happens, there should be an attractive and easy solution. This is why we came up with the “oops ring”.

Available in Chrome and White, the most common colors, the ring’s inner dimension is 2-3/8” and outer dimension is 5”. This should give you the forgiveness you need to hide any unsightly over-cut hole. The rings are 1/16” thick which is sturdy enough to give a clean and finished look.

In fact, they are so attractive that you can find them in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. In this instance, they were not used to cover an oversized fire sprinkler hole, but to ornament the lower hanging and more visible recessed fire sprinklers.

As seen below the “oops ring” is installed between the outer ring of a recessed fire sprinkler escutcheon and the ceiling. The fit is tight and clean. It will look like you had planned to install them all along.
